Privacy Policy

PawPassport is a pet care app from Jennings Global Solutions ("we"). It helps a household keep track of a pet's care, and it can alert someone you trust if you stop checking in. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, profile picture, time zone and sign-in details from Apple or Google if you use them.
- Pet details: names, photos, breed, birth date, weight, food and care routines, medications, vet details, vaccinations, notes and care history.
- Records you upload: photos and PDFs such as vet records, prescriptions and insurance cards.
- Emergency information: your check-ins, your backup caregivers, alerts, your emergency card and any home access details you add, such as door or alarm codes.
- Trips and lost pet reports: trip dates and sitters, and last-seen locations and contact details you enter.
- Purchases: what you bought and whether it's active. Apple or Google handles your payment, and we don't receive your card number.
- Device details: a notification token so we can send alerts to your phone.
We don't track your location. If you tap to find a daycare or boarding nearby, your phone's own Maps app handles that search.
How we use it
- To run the app: sharing care with your household, sending reminders, and alerting your backups.
- To provide features you ask for, such as licenses, Wallet passes, share links and AI helpers.
- To process purchases, provide support, keep the service secure and meet legal duties.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Your household can see your pets, routines, care history and vaccinations.
- Your backups can see the care details they need during an alert or a trip you've set up with them. Home access details stay hidden until then, and you're told when they're viewed.
- Anyone with a link you share can see what that link covers. Health vault and care package links expire, and you can turn them off. Care package links never include door codes.
- Anyone who scans your Wallet pass's QR code can see your pet's name, license number and vaccinations. The link doesn't expire, but you can turn it off for each pet on the License screen. The details printed on a pass already in someone's wallet stay there until they remove it.
Companies that help us
These companies process information on our behalf or as part of a service you choose:
- Supabase: database, file storage and server functions.
- Expo, Apple and Google: app updates and push notifications.
- RevenueCat, Apple and Google: purchases and subscriptions.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, and Wallet passes if you add one.
- Anthropic: our AI helpers, described below.
- A text message provider, once text alerts are available, for alert text messages.
AI features
Two optional features send information to Anthropic's AI service:
- Vaccine reader: we ask first, then the photo or PDF you choose is sent to be read. You check the results before anything is saved.
- Backup summary: off unless you turn it on in Settings. If you do, a backup can tap to summarize an alert or trip, which sends the pet's care details and notes to write the summary. Phone numbers, photos and home access details are not sent.
AI can make mistakes. Results aren't veterinary advice.
Security
Information is protected in transit and access is limited by account. Door and alarm codes are encrypted on our servers and released only through controlled steps that record who viewed them. This is not end-to-end encryption, which means our systems can decrypt them to show them to the people you've allowed. No system is perfectly secure, so please consider what you choose to store.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is active. You can export your data or delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes your account, the pets and data you own, and your place in other households. That includes your pets' pictures and Wallet files. If a file can't be removed right away, and for copies in backups, removal may take longer. Email us if you'd like us to confirm a file is gone. We may keep what we're legally required to keep.
Your choices and rights
You can correct your information in the app, turn off notification types, turn off share links, and export or delete your data. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, such as asking what we hold about you. Email us to make a request, and we won't treat you differently for making it.
Children
PawPassport isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, please email us so we can remove it.
Changes
If we make important changes, we'll update this page and tell you in the app or by email.
